Evo is a digital agency specialising in technically robust, well-crafted websites and digital platforms. We work with a mix of regional businesses and established brands, and we’re known for strong development and growing digital ambition. We’re now investing in raising the creative standard of everything we deliver.
The Role
We’re looking for a confident, imaginative Senior Digital Designer to elevate Evo’s visual output across client work and our own brand. This is a hybrid role, with an expectation of working on‑site at least three days per week. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys variety — designing websites, refining UX flows, shaping Evo’s identity, contributing to pitches, and producing marketing assets that communicate our work and culture. You’ll be the design voice in the room: bringing creative judgment, clarity and modern digital standards into conversations with clients, partners, developers and the wider team. You must be comfortable presenting work, explaining your thinking, and standing behind your decisions. Character, confidence and creative excellence matter as much as technical skill.
What You’ll Do
- Client & Digital Work (approx. 50%)
- Design new website concepts, pages and features
- Improve and extend existing client sites
- Support retained clients with ongoing design updates and refinements
- Work closely with developers to ensure high‑quality implementation
- Balance multiple client and internal priorities confidently
- Evo Brand & Marketing (approx. 35%)
- Own Evo’s brand expression across all touchpoints
- Evolve agency website, pitch decks and core marketing assets
- Create creative assets for LinkedIn and other channels
- Contribute ideas for content, campaigns and storytelling
- Maintain organised design files, components and shared assets
- New Business & Collaboration (approx. 15%)
- Design clean, persuasive pitch materials
- Articulate design thinking and UX rationale
- Act as a creative partner to the MD and development team
- Brief and collaborate with freelancers (UX, motion, video) as required
- If you have strong UX capability, help shape CRO and optimisation‑led client work
What You’ll Bring
- Degree in Graphic Design, Graphic Communication or similar
- 3+ years’ experience in a digital or agency environment
- A strong portfolio showing multi‑page websites, UI design and typography
- Solid UX understanding and mobile‑first thinking
- Confident client‑facing presence; able to present work clearly
- Respect for developers and comfort in a technical environment
- Proactive, calm, low‑ego approach with high standards
- Interest in AI tools and modern creative workflows
Nice to Have
- Motion, video or photography skills
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS (not coding‑level)
- Experience supporting CRO or experimentation work
