We need enthusiastic individuals who are willing to gain new qualifications and become part of our great team! They must have good written and spoken communication skills and a proven ability to build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Attention to detail, ability to use their own initiative and assertiveness are vital. Appointees will also be adaptable and have strong organisation skills to work to agreed timescales and meet all deadlines. They must possess a minimum of three A levels (or equivalent or higher qualifications), one of which must be a science subject or food technology.
Our rapid programme of expansion has seen great growth in our export division, which the new Certification Support Officers (CSOs) will support. They will provide export certification for products of animal origin (POAO) - primarily meat, meat products and dairy - ensuring that all consignments meet the requirements of importing countries as detailed in the Export Health Certificate. This position will be based in our distribution centres and meat processing facilities, so candidates must be comfortable with this environment. This role will operate on a shift pattern and be based within Sudbury CO10.
Duties will include:
- Checking the empty containers to see if they are fit to transport goods
- Taking photos throughout export as indicated on the booking form
- Inspecting the goods, checking for broken boxes, expirations etc.
- Supervising the loading/sealing of the containers
- Taking photographic evidence of the sealed container and seal number
- Providing the evidence and feedback to the EOV
- Any other duties as required
