The Role
Evident is looking for a Director to take full ownership of launching and growing our Asset Management sector, alongside our existing successful banking sector. We are seeking someone with a strong consultancy background and deep sector expertise who is proactive, innovative and confident in engaging C-suite executives in discussions about AI and its application within the sector. In this role, you will define the sector strategy, shape product development, lead early commercial efforts and build a high-performing team from scratch. You will oversee both content and commercial delivery, manage key client relationships, and drive the sector’s roadmap and growth, making a tangible impact on the business from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end launch of the Evident Asset Management sector, from initial market research through to a fully operational, revenue-generating business.
- Define the initial product scope and adjust based on client and market feedback.
- Set the roadmap, timelines, and milestones for all new products and offerings.
- Own sector P&L and drive delivery of the commercial roadmap.
- Identify strategic growth opportunities and shape the long-term vision for your sector.
- Research and define target market and priority accounts.
- Lead early-stage sales, including outreach, campaigns, and client meetings.
- Hire, coach, and manage a commercial team, including Business Development Analysts.
- Define messaging and positioning for sector-specific sales collateral.
- Act as the main point of contact for key clients and ensure strong ongoing relationships.
- As the sector grows, incorporate and assimilate centralised account managers into the existing team.
- Provide sector context for adapting benchmarking methodologies and intelligence content.
- Collaborate with benchmarking & intelligence teams to deliver sector-specific insights and methodology.
- Approve content, ensure methodological rigour, and maintain the quality, relevance, and timeliness of sector deliverables.
- Hire and manage analysts to deliver content, intelligence, and points of view.
- As the sector grows, incorporate and assimilate centralised benchmarking and index teams into the existing team.
Core Skills
- Proven consultancy background or strong Asset Management experience, ideally working on AI or broader tech / digital topics.
- GTM or direct sales experience is highly desirable, ability to confidently manage sales efforts including outreach campaigns and C-Suite pitching is essential.
- Experience working in a start-up environment, ideally in leadership roles in commercial teams.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable products.
- Knowledge / awareness of the impact of AI within Asset Management.
- Excellent communication skills, able to influence clients, peers, and senior leadership effectively.
- Proactive, innovative, and coachable, particularly in commercial and sales-facing situations.
- Experienced in hiring, coaching, and leading analysts or small teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment and takes full ownership of outcomes.
