A rare opportunity to join a mid-sized, highly scientific, international healthcare consultancy providing a range of innovative services to Life Sciences companies. You will have solid foundations and a flowing book of business to build from. I am looking for an experienced epidemiologist comfortable with leading studies end to end, mentoring and managing a small team of juniors and playing a supporting role in BD/client management.
Combining both traditional and novel analytical approaches with diverse real-world data, including genomic, medical record, claims and patient-reported information, has allowed my client to inform Life Sciences/Pharma company internal decision making as well as submissions and presentations to regulators; health technology assessment authorities and payers; the medical community.
The Epidemiology team consists of scientific experts who lead study design, methodology development and result interpretation across a broad range of RWE/HEOR studies, for the pharmaceutical industry. The professional in this position will demonstrate a passion for the generation of rigorous and relevant RWE, ensuring delivery of high-quality evidence and outputs.
The Director, Epidemiology, will independently drive study design, oversee data analysis and interpretation, and lead collaboration with clients and cross-functional teams. This individual will play a key role in advancing the organization’s epidemiologic and real-world data capabilities and supporting high-impact evidence generation for regulatory, clinical, and commercial use.
- Oversee protocol development, analysis plans, and study reports ensuring clarity and quality.
- Apply deep therapeutic and coding expertise to align study design with data needs.
- Utilise advanced knowledge of real-world data sources to guide study feasibility and interpretation.
- Drive innovation and contribute to scientific thought leadership.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables.
MSc or PhD in Epidemiology
- ~7+ years of Epidemiological research experience, with substantial RWE focus in consulting, pharmaceutical or biotech settings (previous private sector/consulting experience highly desirable, but strong senior academic candidates considered)
- ~ Experience working with US and UK data sets is desirable (secondary data, claims, EHRs, etc.)
- ~ Proven leadership in study design, client interaction, and team management.
- ~ Deep expertise in epidemiological methodologies, therapeutic areas, and medical coding.
- ~ Strong record of scientific communication, including authorship and presentations.
- ~ Flexibility to adapt to client project needs and handle competing priorities in a fast-paced workplace.
