We are looking for an experienced Life Safety Engineer to join our energetic team of engineers and contractors on our projects in some of London's most prominent residential developments. We are looking for a strong team player who will embrace a fast start in return for a rewarding package.

Role Responsibilities and Duties for Fire Alarm Engineer:

  • Install, service and maintain Fire Alarm Systems, Evacuation Alert Systems, smoke/heat detectors, call points, aspirating systems, Emergency Voice Communication (EVC) Systems, Disabled Refuge Systems, sounder beacon systems, Toilet Alarm Systems on high-rise developments and in occupied residential or commercial buildings.
  • Ensure all installations and maintenance activities comply with relevant British Standards and industry regulations.
  • Read, interpret, and work from drawings, site plans, and system schematics.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (BS 5839, BS 8629, BAFE standards).
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety, particularly in live and occupied environments.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Complete accurate documentation, reports, and certification.
  • Adhoc duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience Required for Fire Alarm Engineer:

  • ECS or CSCS Card.
  • Sound working knowledge of relevant standards and regulations: BS 5839, BS 8629, BAFE standards.
  • IPAF and/or PASMA (Desired).
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working within the Fire Safety Industry.
  • Solid experience installing, servicing and maintaining Fire Alarm, Evacuation Alert, Emergency Voice Communication and Toilet Alarm systems.
  • Working at Height.
  • Full UK driving licence and Right to Work in the UK.

Salary: Up to £38,000 DOE - overtime and bonus opportunities.

Hours of work: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm.

Holidays: 20 days plus your birthday off plus Bank Holidays per annum (increasing annually to a maximum of 25 after 5 years).
