We are looking for an experienced, motivated and customer-focused Senior Housing Officer to lead our Housing Management team and help us deliver outstanding housing services across the Scottish Borders. This is a key leadership role within our Housing Services team. You will provide day-to-day management and support to Housing Officers, ensuring high standards of performance across tenancy management, estate management, arrears prevention, and neighbourhood services. We are looking for someone who combines strong housing management expertise with excellent leadership skills and a passion for delivering positive outcomes for tenants and communities.

What you will be doing:

  • Leading and developing a team of Housing Officers.
  • Driving high performance and service excellence.
  • Supporting tenancy sustainment and community wellbeing.
  • Managing complex tenancy, anti-social behaviour and customer service issues.
  • Monitoring performance and ensuring compliance with housing legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Contributing to service improvement and strategic projects.

  • Significant experience in housing management within a social housing environment.
  • Proven experience of leading or supervising teams.
  • Strong knowledge of tenancy management, housing legislation and good practice.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
