Are you an experienced housing professional who thrives on delivering excellent customer service and high levels of performance? As part of a current restructure, we are recruiting two Housing Services Officers to join our committed Housing Management Team. This opportunity is ideally suited to experienced housing professionals who have demonstrable experience of managing a generic housing management caseload and can confidently deliver tenancy, estate and neighbourhood management services from day one.

About the Role

As a Housing Services Officer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality front-line generic housing services across a designated geographical area. Operating within a strong performance culture, you will be empowered to provide customer-focused solutions, support communities, and ensure compliance with housing legislation and regulatory requirements. While this is not an entry-level role, we recognise that candidates may have developed their housing management experience through a variety of roles within the social housing sector. We welcome applications from those who can demonstrate the skills, knowledge and potential to undertake the full range of Housing Services Officer responsibilities.

As a Housing Services Officer, you will:

  • Manage all aspects of housing management within your patch, including rent arrears, allocations, anti-social behaviour, and voids.
  • Provide housing advice and support on welfare benefits, tenancy sustainment and housing options.
  • Build positive relationships with tenants, communities and partner organisations.
  • Resolve customer enquiries and complaints effectively and professionally.
  • Support community capacity building and tenant engagement initiatives.
  • Work closely with colleagues, and external agencies to improve neighbourhoods and customer outcomes.
  • Contribute to service improvements, performance monitoring, and the achievement of Scottish Social Housing Charter outcomes.

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum two years' recent experience as a Housing Officer/Housing Services Officer, or in an equivalent generic housing management role, within a social housing environment such as a Registered Social Landlord or Local Authority.
  • Experience independently managing a housing management patch/caseload, including rent arrears, allocations, ASB investigations, voids and tenancy sustainment.
  • Good working knowledge of Scottish housing legislation, regulatory requirements and housing management good practice.
  • Experience of working directly with tenants in challenging situations.
  • Knowledge of welfare reform and financial inclusion.
  • CIH Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout Rural Stirling Housing Association's area of operation.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Experience preparing cases for legal action and attending court or tribunal proceedings.
  • Experience of providing assistance in applying for housing and other welfare benefits.
  • CIH Level 4 or above.
