Calvay Housing Association is a community-based RSL operating in the Barlanark neighbourhood of Greater Easterhouse, Glasgow. The Association\’s housing stock comprises 868 units, made up from a mixture of improved tenemental properties, new build flats and houses. The Association also provides a factoring service to local owner-occupiers who reside within the Association\’s area of operation.

We have 2 Housing Officer posts available within our high performing Housing Management Team.

One post is a permanent full-time position due to a staff member obtaining a promoted post out with the organisation. Calvay is proud of our record when it comes to supporting our staff to develop and advance.

Calvay is also looking to recruit a fixed term post for a maternity cover. This is also a Housing Officer post and will be for a fixed term of 10 months.

The Association is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team and help us make a difference to our community that we have served for 40 years.

The role of the Housing Officer will primarily include providing a generic housing management service to our tenants, dealing with rental income and arrears control, managing anti-social behaviour, allocations and effective estate/ tenancy management services. The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience within a successful RSL or housing organisation
  • Excellent customer care skills and customer focused approach to service delivery
  • A good knowledge and experience of all aspects of a housing management service
  • Ability to develop good relationships with staff, committee, external partners and our residents
  • Be self-motivated, enthusiastic and have a flexible attitude to tasks
  • Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills
