Everywhere Possible Transport Pty Ltd is looking for a Trailer Mechanic to take full ownership of maintaining our heavy trailer and road train fleet in our High Wycombe workshop. This is not an entry-level role—we're looking for someone who can step in, diagnose issues quickly, and keep our fleet moving without micromanagement. The Role
- You'll be responsible for ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance, minimising downtime and maintaining strict compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintain heavy-duty trailers and road train combinations
- Diagnose faults and carry out high-quality repairs efficiently
- Perform preventative maintenance and identify defects early
- Brake servicing and repairs
- Airbag and suspension work
- Axles, wheel bearings, and running gear
- Tyre inspections and alignments
- Electrical and lighting systems
- Fabrication and minor structural repairs
- Maintain accurate service and compliance records
- Ensure all work meets company, NHVR, and Main Roads WA standards
- Always work safely with a strong Zero Harm focus
What You Bring (Essential)
- Trade qualification in mechanical, such as: Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, or Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, or equivalent
- Proven experience working on trailers and transport fleets
- Minimum 3 years of experience working on trailers and transport fleets
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability
- Solid understanding of WA transport compliance and safety requirements
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of your role
- Australian citizen or permanent resident is required
Highly Regarded
- Welding and fabrication skills
- HC or MC licence
Compliance & Safety Requirements
- White Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Sound understanding of WA Work Health & Safety laws
- Ability to meet NHVR and Main Roads WA compliance standards
