Overview
Join our Financial Reporting Team in a key leadership role supporting the Senior Finance Manager. You’ll lead a team of Management Accountants and take ownership of delivering accurate monthly management accounts, statutory reporting support, and forecasting—ensuring high-quality financial insight across the Group.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Management Accountants.
- Oversee monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and commentary.
- Review monthly KPIs and ensure they align with financial performance.
- Analyse variances against budget, forecast and prior year, working closely with Finance Business Partners and Directors.
- Ensure accuracy of accounts through collaboration with wider finance teams.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
- Approve journals and maintain strong financial controls.
- Support year‑end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
- Reconcile intercompany balances and resolve discrepancies.
- Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with FCA client and insurer money rules.
Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE.
- Proven leadership or team management experience.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, CASS and UK GAAP.
- Advanced Excel and confident data analysis skills.
- Experience delivering accurate results to tight deadlines.
