Overview

Join our Financial Reporting Team in a key leadership role supporting the Senior Finance Manager. You’ll lead a team of Management Accountants and take ownership of delivering accurate monthly management accounts, statutory reporting support, and forecasting—ensuring high-quality financial insight across the Group.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Management Accountants.
  • Oversee monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and commentary.
  • Review monthly KPIs and ensure they align with financial performance.
  • Analyse variances against budget, forecast and prior year, working closely with Finance Business Partners and Directors.
  • Ensure accuracy of accounts through collaboration with wider finance teams.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Approve journals and maintain strong financial controls.
  • Support year‑end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
  • Reconcile intercompany balances and resolve discrepancies.
  • Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with FCA client and insurer money rules.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE.
  • Proven leadership or team management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, CASS and UK GAAP.
  • Advanced Excel and confident data analysis skills.
  • Experience delivering accurate results to tight deadlines.
