We’re looking for an experienced Business Systems Team Leader to join our Technology team and support the delivery, optimisation and ongoing development of our Acturis platform. You’ll manage day‑to‑day workloads across Continuous Improvements, projects and small change workstreams. You will act as an escalation point for complex queries, refer blockers and issues upwards for support. This role can be based remotely or from one of our offices, with travel to UK sites as per business needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage, prioritise and track incoming work items via Dev Ops.
- Provide clear reporting on workloads and project progress.
- Support the Systems Consultancy Manager with daily stand ups, backlog grooming sessions and sprint planning.
- Act as an escalation point for complex system queries.
- Build strong relationships with software houses.
- Support system changes and ensure smooth transitions for the business.
- Identify opportunities to reduce implementation and development costs.
- Conduct system reviews and identify improvement opportunities.
- Support key projects, acquisitions and stakeholder engagement.
- Report progress, risks and issues to senior leaders.
What You’ll Bring
- Successful management of a team in an Application Delivery environment.
- Familiar with Lean principles and understands Sprint Planning, Back Log Grooming and Daily stand ups.
- Familiarity with toolsets such as Dev Ops and Jira.
- Financial services (ideally insurance) background but a financial institution background would be considered.
- Excellent MS Office skills.
- Confident stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Highly organised, detail‑focused and able to work at pace.
- A proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach.
