Are you passionate about improving mental health outcomes through evidence-based psychological therapies? We have an exciting opportunity to train as a High Intensity CBT Therapist while working within the supportive and innovative team at Everyturn’s Peterborough & Cambridgeshire Talking Therapies Service!
In this role, you’ll undertake a fully-funded Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) at the University of Hertfordshire. You’ll spend 2 days a week (Mondays & Tuesdays) studying at the university, with the remainder of your time gaining clinical hours and practical experience in our service under the guidance of experienced clinicians. Our experienced managers and supervisors will guide your development. We have an excellent track record of supporting trainees through the course and into qualified roles.
This role is not eligible for sponsorship as it does not meet the requirements as set out by the UK Visa and Immigration Service. Please Note: Planned service start date for these roles is 14th September. This is a 12-month full-time training programme. Attendance at all University teaching days is mandatory. Applicants must be able to commit to both the academic and clinical components of the course. Upon successful completion of the course and meeting all criteria, you will progress into a Qualified High Intensity CBT Therapist role within our service.
About you
We would love to hear from you, if you possess the following:
- Have a BABCP recognised Core Profession (please check the BABCP website to check if you qualify) or you are a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner who has a minimum of two years post qualification experience and can demonstrate the ability to meet the Knowledge & Skills Assessment requirements.
- Proven track record of working positively with people who have experienced a mental ill health in a mental health setting.
- Highly resilient with the ability to meet the attendance and academic requirements of the course, whilst also working for our service.
- Are able to organise a high-volume workload to ensure effective prioritisation and delivery of objectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to work flexibly to meet service and client need.
