The role is to cover the whole of Derby / Derbyshire. This is a remote role; however, it requires someone currently living in Derby / Derbyshire. Derby and Derbyshire Talking Therapies have received funding from the ICB to deliver a Health Inequalities project, which has led to the approval of an additional Community and Partnerships Officer.
It is an essential requirement of this role that you are a driver with access to your own car. This role is not eligible for sponsorship as it does not meet the requirements set out by the UK Visa and Immigration Service.
As a Talking Therapies partnership, we are looking for a Community & Partnership Officer who can bring their knowledge, skills, and passion for working with communities to this dynamic service. The Community & Partnership Officer will support the contracted engagement work needed for the NHS talking therapies service within Derbyshire. It is important that we have effective pathways, a strong community presence, and build effective partnerships within the area. The role will enable the service to expand its reach and use community voices to influence change within the service and the wider mental health system.
About the role:- Build meaningful, long-term relationships with community groups, GP practices, voluntary organisations, and wider health and social care partners.
- Work alongside local service teams to design and develop new pathways into Talking Therapies.
- Support the delivery of projects that test and introduce new ways of working.
- Bring together feedback and insight from community engagement, partners, and colleagues.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of new and existing pathways.
- Represent our services in the community at events, forums, or partnership meetings.
- Work closely with marketing and communications teams to develop clear, accessible messaging.
- Strengthen relationships across primary care, secondary care, and wider health systems.
- Identify opportunities to reduce barriers to access for underrepresented groups.
- Champion innovation and collaboration.
