We are excited to be looking for a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our dynamic Digital Team (IT)! This is a full-time, permanent position. This is a hybrid role, and requires someone who is currently based in the North East. This role is not eligible for sponsorship as it does not meet the requirements as set out by the UK Visa and Immigration Service.
As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for compiling, analysing, and reporting data to support operational services and strategic decision-making. Using your expertise in data management, analytics, and visualisation, you will help transform corporate and patient data into meaningful insights that drive improvements across our organisation.
What You’ll Do
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business or service decisions.
- Use statistical techniques and analytical tools to interpret complex data.
- Produce regular reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for stakeholders.
- Present findings clearly using data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Monitor and improve data quality, implementing validation and quality checks.
- Develop data models and analytical solutions to support business intelligence initiatives.
- Work with internal teams to understand their data needs and translate business questions into analytical solutions.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and organisational standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and data systems.
- Recommend improvements based on analytical findings to enhance operational and strategic decisions.
What You’ll Have
- Significant experience with coding languages such as SQL, Python, DAX, and R.
- Strong expertise with business analytics tools, particularly Power BI.
- Proven experience developing dashboards, graphs, and visualisations.
- Familiarity with version control tools, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Azure DevOps).
- Knowledge of data governance tools, test suites, and cases.
- Experience in developing data products for data science and machine learning initiatives.
- Understanding of Snowflake and Azure Data Factory architecture and optimisation.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and data security requirements, including GDPR.
- Excellent communication, numeracy, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
