We are seeking an Administration Manager to provide support and assistance to our finance department. The successful candidate will join our leadership team and drive financial strategy, compliance and performance across the business. Based at our Southport Head Office, you will be responsible for supporting the accounts department, ensuring sound financial management, reporting practices and supporting strategic decision making. Reporting to the COO, you will work closely with other senior leaders to support growth, enhance profitability and ensure compliance across all accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable.
- Month-end balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations and posting of general ledger journal entries including accruals and prepayments, inter-entity recharges.
- Prepare monthly management reports including KPI and Branch reporting.
- Lead and mentor finance team members, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register consisting of a large vehicle fleet.
- Manage business credit card facilities.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly BAS returns.
- Manage daily cash flow and reporting.
- Assist with the weekly creditor payment run.
- Provide other accounting and administration support to the operations managers, the COO and directors of the business as required.
- Support the payroll function with payroll tax and superannuation reporting and payments.
- Liaise with the bank and finance providers in relation to covenant reporting and annual reviews.
- Liaise with external accountant in relation to financial and taxation reporting.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Preferably degree qualified.
- At least 3 years experience in a financial accounting role.
- Strong technical accounting skills and confidence in financial reporting.
- Experience with Xero software desirable.
- Accounts Payable and Account Receivable experience is desirable.
- Positive work attitude and the desire to learn new tasks and support the management of the business.
- The ability to communicate clearly with various stakeholders and build positive relationships.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience in car rental, fleet, transport or automotive industries will be highly regarded.
- Must hold a valid Drivers Licence.
