Full-time position – 40 hours per week Competitive salary Everyone Active are currently seeking an ambitious, confident and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Duty Manager at the brand-new Leighton Leisure and Community Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to take a key operational role within a fantastic new facility, which includes a 150-station gym, 25m eight-lane swimming pool, teaching pool, water confidence pool, group exercise studios, dedicated group cycle studio, 20-bed Reformer studio, wellness and recovery facilities, squash courts, café and community spaces. As Duty Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and successful day-to-day operation of the centre, taking responsibility for the building and team while on shift. You’ll lead from the front, ensuring our customers receive an excellent experience while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, cleanliness, presentation and operational compliance. You will work across all areas of the centre, supporting and motivating colleagues, responding to customer queries and incidents, completing operational checks and ensuring the facility runs smoothly throughout the day. You’ll also play an important part in driving participation, supporting commercial performance and helping us continue to establish our brand-new centre within the local community. We need a Duty Manager who will… Lead the day-to-day operation of the centre and take responsibility for the facility while on shift Lead, motivate and support a diverse team, creating a positive environment where colleagues can perform at their best Maintain high standards of health and safety, pool safety, cleanliness and facility presentation Deliver excellent customer service and confidently resolve customer queries and issues Complete opening, closing and operational procedures, ensuring all required checks and documentation are completed Respond effectively to incidents and emergencies and provide clear leadership when required Support the management team with staff performance, training and development Help drive participation, membership and income opportunities across all areas of the centre Have experience in a supervisory role, ideally within a busy leisure environment Have excellent verbal, written and IT communication skills Demonstrate strong organisation, time management and the ability to prioritise in a busy environment National Pool Lifeguard, First Aid at Work and Pool Plant Operator qualifications will need to be achieved within a set timescale if not already held. This position will involve a mixture of day, evening and weekend shifts, including public holidays. This role will involve working with children and vulnerable adults and, due to this, an enhanced DBS check will need to be undertaken prior to starting in the role. Interested in joining our team?
