Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant General Manager based in Horfield Leisure Centre, Bristol. The Assistant General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to customers. Responsibilities include:
- Supervising staff
- Implementing operational strategies
- Ensuring adherence to health and safety standards
- Analyzing performance metrics
- Working closely with the General Manager to drive business results
- Actively contributing to team development
- Supporting the growth of the facility's offerings to meet community needs
Qualifications
- Proven experience in team management, staff development, and fostering an inclusive and productive workplace culture.
- Strong operational knowledge in health and safety standards, compliance, and facility management.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication, organisational and collaboration skills to effectively manage staff and engage with the community.
- Passion for health, fitness, and community engagement, and ability to inspire team members and customers alike.
- Experience within the leisure or customer service industry is desirable but not required.
- NPLQ and/COSHH desirable (Training can be given to the right candidate).
