The Role
We’re looking for a proactive and technically minded Event Technician to join our team within the fast-paced automotive events industry. As part of a leading driving experience provider, you’ll play a key role in delivering seamless event technology across some of the UK’s most prestigious race circuits, including Brands Hatch, Donington Park, and the iconic Top Gear Test Track. This is a hands-on, varied role combining IT support, event setup, and on-site problem solving - perfect for someone who enjoys technology, travel, and working in dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain event support rigs prior to deployment
- Set up and test all equipment on-site ahead of each event
- Provide first-line technical support for hardware and software issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly under pressure
- Support photography and in-car video systems
- Windows laptops and desktops
- Networking equipment (switches, Wi‑Fi, POS systems)
- Printers and external storage devices
- Assist with additional event operations when required (e.g. media sales)
- Work independently while maintaining clear communication with the wider team
