Offering bespoke designs, we create custom-built playground equipment, sensory areas, Multi-Use Games Areas (MUGAs), and professional sports facilities tailored to each client's unique needs and budgets. Our entire process, from consultation and design to manufacturing, installation, and maintenance, is handled in-house to ensure top-tier quality, safety, and durability. This full-time, on-site role based in Biddenden offers the opportunity to train as a Playground Designer Apprentice. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Contributing to the development of creative and practical playground designs.
- Collaborating with clients to understand their needs.
- Assisting with planning and site analysis.
- Ensuring designs meet safety and quality standards.
- Gaining hands-on experience working alongside design and installation teams to see projects through from concept to completion while learning industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Design skills: A flair for creativity, proficiency with design tools (e.g., CAD software), and an interest in playful and functional space design.
- Communication and collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work closely with clients, coworkers, and other stakeholders, including children.
- Technical skills: Familiarity with measurements, spatial reasoning, and design standards for safety and durability.
- Problem-solving abilities: A solution-oriented mindset to address spatial and design challenges creatively.
- A willingness to learn and adapt, showing enthusiasm for hands-on training and new experiences.
- Experience or educational background in design, architecture, landscape architecture, or related fields is a plus.
