The Opportunity
EHG Pregnancy and Parenting division is seeking an ambitious and motivated Business Development Manager to join our growing global team based in the UK. Reporting to the Healthcare Director, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving new business revenues for our growing clinical studies recruitment business. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic and results-driven new business generator with a strong understanding of digital media and the clinical studies landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify new business opportunities, new clients and new partnerships.
- Drive increased cross platform revenues, including growth of existing business.
- Cold call as appropriate to ensure the robust development of pipeline and future opportunities.
- Create and facilitate relationships and dialogue with prospective clients within the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, both at client direct or their agencies.
- Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organisation.
- Research and build relationships with new clients.
- Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders/Principals.
- Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
- Travel to prospect and clients, agencies and industry events.
- Liaise with all necessary internal colleagues to optimise quality and customer satisfaction.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of sales experience within Clinical Trials and the Pharmaceutical industries.
- Specific experience in medical education and / or patient recruitment campaigns is preferable.
- The ability to sell ideas, products and services.
- A proven track record of creating new business relationships with both agencies and clients.
- Competent knowledge of the digital and data landscape and business is preferred.
- Ability to assess markets, customers, competitors, and prospects by uncovering and understanding opportunities, needs, and challenges.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Collaborative and a team player, working across internal and external teams.
