GeneralRoles and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the fullpublic examination cycle, from entries through to results, certificatesand post-results services.
- Ensure all examinationprocesses, systems and procedures comply with JCQ and awarding bodyregulations.
- Coordinate internal and externalexamination arrangements, including timetables, rooming, resources,staffing and examination security.
- Recruit, train and manageexamination invigilators and coordinate effective invigilation.
- Work closely with the SENDCo toensure appropriate access arrangements and reasonable adjustments areimplemented and evidenced.
- Communicate effectively withstudents, parents, staff, senior leaders and examination boards,responding to queries and resolving issues as required.
- Manage examination clashes,unexpected issues and emergencies in accordance with regulations andsafeguarding procedures.
- Maintain accurate examinationrecords, candidate numbers and relevant data, and support the analysis andreporting of examination information.
- Lead and support JCQ inspectionsand ensure examination policies and procedures are fully evidenced.
- Arrange the receipt, checkingand distribution of examination results and certificates, includingsupporting GCSE and A-level results days.
- Manage enquiries about results,reviews of marking, appeals, special consideration and the retrieval ofexamination scripts.
- Monitor examination expenditureand ensure examination fees and charges are accurate and appropriatelymanaged.
