Everun currently provides a range of services to the wind energy sector including turbine monitoring, maintenance and servicing, asset and financial management services and bespoke software monitoring tools developed in-house via a sister company. Due to continued growth, we are expanding our existing Wind turbine Service & Maintenance teams. This role would suit experienced technicians from adjacent sectors seeking a move into the renewable energy industry.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Field based role, carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance of Wind Turbines to the highest standards, including regular servicing schedules to OEM standards.
  • Identifying, diagnostics, troubleshooting and resolution of faults.
  • Achieve a high first-time-fix rate.
  • Participate in main component replacement/repair (gearboxes, generators, etc.).
  • Advise on the requirements and specification for replacement parts.
  • Form an integral part of the on-call team.
  • Work with the on-site teams, including client representatives, to address service & maintenance issues and drive overall turbine performance.
  • Communicate with control centre personnel regularly and effectively.
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  • Assist with production and verification of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Ensure PPE, tools and vehicles are maintained to the highest standards.

Please note that some travel within Scotland and occasional travel to NI will be required. Although some overnights may be required this role does not include accommodation, as you will return home most nights. Therefore this role is suited to those based in and around the greater Glasgow / central belt areas.

The Person:

  • Self-motivated, confident and driven to succeed.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
  • The ability to represent the Company to the highest standards.
  • A minimum of one year's experience in a relevant engineering focused role e.g. electrical, mechanical, heavy vehicle/plant servicing.
  • Strong technical aptitude (focus on electric-mechanical) with solid problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively within a team, strong interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to meet and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • High level of physical fitness.
  • Flexible working approach (comfortable working on-call including some weekends).
  • Ability to read and work from plans, schematics, and spec sheets.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to RAMS and AWP’s.
  • Good general understanding of Health & Safety at work requirements.
  • Full UK Driving license.
  • Level 3 qualification in relevant engineering / electrical / mechanical subject.
  • Experience working on Wind Turbines.
  • Good level of IT skill including Microsoft Office.

Salary range: £28,000 - £34,000, based on experience. On call and overtime rates. 29 days leave, increasing to 34 with service (inclusive of public holidays). Enhanced employer pension contribution. Enhanced maternity / paternity leave & pay. Life assurance 4 x salary.
