Everton Football Club is one of world sport's most respected and revered names - a by-word for innovation, professionalism and community. During the course of a glittering history spanning three centuries, we have been shaped and guided by our aspirational motto Nil Satis Nisi Optimum - nothing but the best is good enough. One of only three clubs to have been a founder member of both the Football League and Premier League, our Men’s Senior Team has played more games in English football's top-flight than any other, winning nine league titles, five FA Cups and a European Cup Winners’ Cup. In summer 2025, we embarked on an exciting new journey at Hill Dickinson Stadium, a world-class waterfront arena on the banks of Liverpool’s iconic River Mersey.

We have a new, exciting opportunity within our Football Strategy & Analytics Department for a highly motivated and analytically driven Football Strategy Analyst to work closely with our Head of Football Strategy & Analytics, and our Technical Director in shaping and delivering the Club’s football strategy.

Key responsibilities within this role include:

  • Football Strategy & Planning: Collaborating with the Head of Football Strategy & Analytics to identify and define the Club’s key strategic priorities across the football department. Monitoring progress against these priorities, ensuring alignment with the Club’s long‑term vision.
  • Stakeholder Support & Delivery: Working closely with senior stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans. Supporting the delivery of strategic initiatives through structured project management approaches.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Producing regular KPI reports tracking progress against strategic objectives. Developing and maintaining a suite of reports for the CEO, Ownership, and senior football stakeholders. Analysing performance trends across the football department to inform decision‑making.
  • Analysis & Insights: Conducting benchmarking and competitor analysis to support strategic decisions across all areas of the football department. Sourcing and synthesising data from internal and external sources to generate actionable insights.
  • Squad Planning & Recruitment Support: Contributing to strategic recruitment discussions across both the Men’s & Women’s Teams.
  • Executive Support: Preparing high‑quality updates, reports, reviews, and presentations on behalf of the Head of Football Strategy & Analytics. Providing analytical and strategic input into key football decisions at senior level.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to high‑level decision‑making across performance, recruitment and squad planning, while driving strategic projects that impact the Club’s success on and off the pitch.

Who we are looking for: Our ideal candidate will be a highly analytical and strategically minded professional with a strong understanding of elite football operations and decision‑making. Combining exceptional problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that influence senior stakeholders, you will have prior experience in a strategy, analytics, or a consulting role—ideally within a professional football club or high‑performance sporting environment. We want someone who has a proven track record of supporting strategic projects, performance analysis, and executive‑level reporting and is comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment, demonstrating excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills, alongside a genuine passion for football and a deep commitment to driving continuous improvement at our Club.

The role is permanent and will be based at Finch Farm training ground in Liverpool (Halewood); working 40 hours per week, the closing date of this advert is Friday 10th April 2026. We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive a substantial amount of applications.

Equity & Inclusion: Everton is committed to ensuring everyone is respected, celebrated, and empowered for who they are, regardless of their identity. We welcome applications from people with diverse backgrounds, and those from racially diverse communities. We are dedicated to supporting the physical and mental/emotional wellbeing of all our people. Should you have a disability or long‑term health condition and require reasonable adjustments to be made to the application/interview/onboarding process, please let us know by contacting the Talent Acquisition Team via email‑ careers@evertonfc.com.
