About the opportunity: As we continue to build an elite, player-centred environment, we are seeking an exceptional Performance Lifestyle Manager – Everton Women to play a pivotal role in supporting the holistic development and sustained performance of our Women's First Team players. As Performance Lifestyle Manager you will lead the design, implementation and delivery of a world-class Performance Lifestyle Programme for our Women's First Team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced sports psychology professional to shape an environment where players thrive both on and off the pitch. Going beyond traditional sport psychology, the successful candidate will integrate psychological skills, behavioural development, lifestyle management and wellbeing strategies into the daily performance environment, enabling players to consistently perform at their highest level. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will ensure players receive holistic support that aligns with Everton Football Club's performance model, values and ambitions.

Other Key Responsibilities as part of the role include:

  • Leading the development, implementation and continuous evolution of a comprehensive Performance Lifestyle Strategy for the Women's First Team
  • Designing and delivering individualised and group-based psychological performance and lifestyle programmes that enhance performance behaviours, resilience, wellbeing and long-term development
  • Developing protocols for the early identification and support of wellbeing, mental health and lifestyle-related challenges
  • Delivering a robust Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy appropriate for an elite sporting environment in collaboration with Medical, Safeguarding and wider Performance Lifestyle colleagues
  • Educating players on the psychological and behavioural demands of elite football, helping them understand what it takes to consistently perform at the highest level

Who we are looking for: We are looking for someone who is passionate about developing people and creating environments where elite athletes can flourish. You will bring:

  • A proven background in Sport and Exercise Psychology within high-performance sport.
  • Experience working within elite football or another high-performance sporting environment
  • Demonstrable expertise in delivering psychological support, performance lifestyle programmes and wellbeing initiatives
  • Experience supporting athletes through transition, challenge and sustained high-performance demands
  • A collaborative approach, emotional intelligence and the confidence to positively influence performance culture

Essential Qualifications needed for this role:

  • MSc in Psychology / Sport Psychology
  • British Psychological Society Chartered status or CASES Accredited (or equivalent)
  • Registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (“HCPC”) in the UK or holds membership with an equivalent professional organisation such as the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (“AASP”) in the United States, or relevant national councils in other countries
  • FA Safeguarding Training
  • Mental Health England First Aid Certification
