About the opportunity: A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to work within our Everton Women Medical & Sports Science Team as First Team Sports Therapist, providing a comprehensive and multidisciplinary service to our Clubs elite first team players.
Reporting directly into our Lead First Team Physiotherapist you will operate as an expert within the field of sports therapy, focusing on the delivery of treatment and all stages of the rehabilitation pathway, assisiting with the coordination of the mendial services on match days, organising and implementing screening programmes, prehab and rehab startegies where required.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Operating in close collaboration with the Lead First Team Team Physiotherapist – Women’s Football, First Team Physiotherapist – Women’s Football, and Club Doctor on any non-musculoskeletal conditions, or cases that may need further investigation; referring to the appropriate source where required
- General administration and record keeping that would be associated with the role, including the use of relevant internal and external systems (e.g. WPS); ensuring the stored information is both accurate and up to date.
- Ensuring the practice records are kept up to date and accurate with any details of treatment/assessments; including written reports on assessment/treatments to allow for all relevant staff the ability to update themselves on cases.
Who we are looking for : We are looking for a talented and passionate individual who has experience of working within elite sport, which does not necessarily need to be football.
You must be comfortable working with a wide variety of injuries and flexible enough to rotate into a travelling performance team that supports our elite players through competitive fixtures, both home and away.
We need someone who possess the ability to work discreetly under pressure, but also as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and can evidence on-going CPD in major speciality of their work portfolio.
It is essential that the successful candidate has the following educational experience;
- A degree in Sports Therapy / Sports Science equivalent
- Full membership of The Society of Sports Therapy
- Adquate indemnity insurance
- FA Intermediate Trauma Medical Management in Football (ITMMiF)
This role is on a permanent bases working 40 hours per week and is based within Finch Farm training ground in Liverpool (Halewood).
