I am looking for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join our team at Heathrow. The purpose of the role is to provide expert occupational health advice and support via Case Management, ensuring the health and well-being of employees at Heathrow Airport.
You will work within a close-knit team of 11 enthusiastic and skilled professionals including Consultant OH Physicians, Physiotherapists, OH Advisors, Nurse/Technicians and Reception Team where every day brings new challenges and opportunities.
You will have a blend of four days in a modern, well-equipped office near Terminal 3 at Heathrow Airport and one day working from home. There is a free staff car park with dedicated staff bus service in addition to convenient Public Transport links. You will work a structured routine with working hours of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, giving you a great work-life balance.
NMC registration is essential, ensuring you bring the professionalism and expertise required to make a real difference. Additionally, you must hold or be working towards a postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health (degree or diploma), and at least 1 year of OH Case Management is required to ensure you have the necessary skills and foundation to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities- Delivering expert, evidence-based case management services for referrals related to attendance, fitness for work, and other occupational health advice.
- Producing professional, comprehensive, and insightful written reports to guide informed decision-making.
- Offering specialist advice on legislative requirements and best practices in occupational health.
- Staying up to date through continuous professional development, maintaining your NMC registration, and adhering to professional guidelines.
- Registered Nurse (Part 1) with a postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health (Degree/Diploma)
- Meticulous written skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communicator with a range of stakeholders
- Excellent time-management skills
- Understanding of own competence, how this relates to practice and where to escalate/seek support to ensure safe practice
- IT literacy and competence
- Comprehensive understanding of the principles and practice of data protection and confidentiality in OH
- Case management and provision of OH advice
- Ability to demonstrate a flexible and proactive approach to work
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Occupational Health
- Diploma in Occupational Health
The salary for this position is up to £45,000 per annum, this is dependent on qualifications and experience.
