The Role

You will be a marketing and business development professional supporting our Practice Groups and Sectors through both internal and external communications and events. You will work with the Senior Marketing Manager and Marketing Managers for our international network, liaising with colleagues including lawyers around the world to maintain and convert an international profile into profitable new business opportunities and long-lasting relationships. You will be supported by the wider Programme Delivery Team, within BD & Marketing, to implement and align firmwide campaigns and thought leadership across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Marketing Manager and Marketing Managers in delivering the marketing and business development plan across our international network.
  • Collaborate with marketing colleagues and lawyers to deliver thought leadership and product campaigns, distributing to international colleagues where appropriate.
  • Liaise with internal and external design teams to create, produce and deliver marketing materials across print and digital channels. Support email marketing programs including creating distribution lists, populating emails, and monitoring metrics.
  • Assist in delivering business development activities, including gathering research materials to support campaigns and client opportunities.
  • Assist in planning and delivering Sector and Practice Group events, including logistics such as catering, invitee lists, and promotional material.
  • Work with marketing colleagues and lawyers to create pitch documents and client presentation materials.
  • Ensure internal databases and resources capturing capability, experience and client testimonials are comprehensive and shared via internal newsletters.
  • Coordinate online presence, including management of core webpages, social media, and third-party digital publications.
  • Take a lead role in managing the firm’s CRM (Interaction) to promote broader use and maintain high-quality data for marketing purposes.
  • Assist with ad-hoc internal communications projects, events and publications, and contribute to wider marketing projects as required.
  • Collaborate with marketing colleagues to support key campaigns and initiatives across the team.

Skills and experience

  • Previous marketing and/or business development experience, preferably in a legal or professional services environment.
  • Delivery-focused, able to meet deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive approach with the ability to inspire confidence in others.
  • Ability to work with satellite teams to deliver on time.
  • Strong multitasking and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to generate ideas and explain their merits clearly and logically.
