The Commercial Finance team partners with business leaders across the firm, providing financial insight and commercial support to help drive performance and strategic decision-making. Our expertise covers financial planning, management reporting, business partnering, business cases and performance management. The Senior Commercial Finance Analyst opportunity sits within a team of experienced Senior Commercial Finance Managers, supporting our Employment, Labor and Pensions Practice Group. The team is responsible for delivering meaningful analysis and insight that helps business leaders understand performance, identify opportunities and make informed decisions.
We are seeking a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst to join our team. This role offers an excellent blend of commercial finance, business partnering, stakeholder management and data analytics. You will play a key role in transforming complex data into actionable business insight, supporting effective business partnering and influencing strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the month-end by making agreed accounting adjustments and supporting with P&L reviews, as well as producing reporting packs, commentary and variance analysis.
- Taking ownership of assigned reporting deliverables, such as weekly and monthly KPI reporting for the business, ensuring outputs are complete, accurate, validated and delivered to agreed deadlines.
- Providing analytical support to Senior Commercial Finance Manager and junior business partnering to business stakeholders, including ad-hoc requests for data or analysis as needed.
- Investigating and resolving queries in a timely manner, escalating risks, data issues or delays at the earliest opportunity.
- Contributing to annual budget and planning processes, including inputting data and supporting analysis.
- Identifying practical opportunities to improve reporting processes, while ensuring stakeholder requirements, controls, testing and output quality are maintained.
- Supporting the Senior Commercial Finance Manager across a range of commercial projects as required.
