Lawyer - Associate (2- 4 years PQE) - Banking & Finance - Leeds

Our team is a national Banking Practice Group with an enviable list of clients and transactions to our name. We regularly advise high profile clients, consisting of UK and global financial institutions, private equity houses, funds and corporates on complex domestic and cross-border transactions and are able to utilise our strong domestic and international network of specialists. The breadth and quality of work that we undertake sets us apart from many of our competitors.

Key areas of focus for the team include:

• Corporate and Leverage Finance - we represent private equity sponsors, corporate borrowers and lenders (both banks and private capital providers). We advise on a full range of leveraged situations, M&A, corporate finance and refinancing, asset based lending, group re-organisations and debt capital markets work.
• Real Estate Finance - we act for many of the major domestic and international banks as well as alternative lenders and corporate borrowers, on major bilateral, syndicated and structured transactions.
• Project and Infrastructure Finance - we advise international sponsors, developers and banks in UK and international transactions across transport and social infrastructure, renewables and emerging/convergence assets.

Role And Key Responsibilities: We have opportunities for Associates (2 - 4 years PQE) to join the national Banking Practice Group in Leeds to support a broad range of banking transactions across Corporate/Leverage, Real Estate Finance. The candidate will therefore gain experience of working with private equity sponsors, corporates, banks and funds. The role will involve working on a wide range of finance matters and given the breadth of our practice, the candidate will need to have the ability and desire to turn their hand to a range of work.

Team members of all levels are expected to be engaged in business development activities, including organising and attending larger set-piece marketing events as well as more ad hoc / opportunistic meetings. We are looking for candidates who want to work in a highly collaborative and non-hierarchical environment, and who are motivated by delivering a great service for our clients whilst helping to develop business and provide input on training, marketing, knowledge management and other non-transactional activities.
