We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Finance Systems Team within the IT function. We are a key support team to the rest of the business and work hard to maintain our reputation of excellent quality and service. Our main customer is Finance but we also work closely with other parts of the business. Our main role is to support and maintain the Practice Management System (SAP) which covers all the main finance areas, as well as the time recording system (Intapp Time).
This is a new role within the team and has responsibility for managing a queue of incoming incidents and requests as well as dealing with some of those business requests using our Practice Management System (SAP), Client and Matter Intake system (Intapp Open), and our time recording system (Intapp Time).
Role and key responsibilitiesWorking as part of a fast-paced and dynamic team, your main remit will be to deal with business requests to update data within our key systems. You will also be responsible for reviewing incidents and requests that come into our team queue and then either dealing with those directly or routing to a more suitable team (in some cases the software support vendor). The role is all about service and supporting our colleagues around the business and dealing with incidents and requests in a manner which means they can be resolved as efficiently and quickly as possible.
Key responsibilities- Take ownership of and action business requests for data updates within the key systems with a focus on accuracy and speed.
- Maintain users within the key systems (starters and leavers).
- Maintain the "Available Hours" data which is used to drive key finance reporting metrics.
- Monitoring the support queue and identifying and prioritising urgent issues.
- Working collaboratively within the team as well as other support functions to provide a seamless service to the business.
- Service focused putting the customer at the heart of what you do.
- Naturally inquisitive and keen to learn.
- Can communicate clearly and explain complex issues clearly and concisely.
- Technically strong and in particular experience of using Excel and dealing with high volumes of data.
- Demonstrate analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Service management in terms of keeping on top of an incoming queue of work and ensuring requests are prioritised and dealt with swiftly.
- Legal industry experience desirable but not essential.
