Assist in the preparation, scheduling, coordination, and monitoring of assigned multistorey structural steel projects. Support the project team in ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, QA/QC requirements, safety regulations, performance standards, and project specifications.
Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments on project-related matters. Review clients’ technical documentation, drawings, and project requirements. Maintain and update project technical files, records, and documentation.
Assist in the preparation of method statements for structural steel erection and project execution. Support in the preparation of Material Take-Off (MTO) and Bills of Quantities (BOQ). Assist in preparing scope of work and technical specifications for steel structure and related sub-building works.
Support the preparation of technical documentation for material requisition and assist the procurement department in technical evaluation activities. Contribute to project planning by reviewing project proposals, schedules, and work plans together with management and the project team.
Assist in the preparation of daily progress reports and other project status updates. Support manpower planning and allocation for structural steel erection works. Monitor project progress and coordinate site activities with Supervisors, QA/QC personnel, Surveyors, and key workers.
Assist in coordinating construction activities with the Project Team, clients, and consultants. Carry out in-progress site inspections to ensure works are executed according to required quality standards. Monitor delivered materials and assist in preparing compliance reports against project specifications, codes of practice, Inspection Test Plans (ITP), and QA/QC procedures.
Support the team in delivering projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with required quality standards and client expectations. Attend meetings, prepare correspondence, and assist in resolving design and site issues during the construction period.
Raise and follow up on technical queries such as RFI (Request for Information) and RFC (Request for Clarification), where required. Coordinate closely with main contractors, suppliers, and the Planning Engineer to ensure timely delivery of materials and project milestones.
Assist in handling and resolving site issues throughout the project lifecycle. Promote and support safe work practices at all times in compliance with company and site safety requirements. Assist in assigning and monitoring daily work activities of Supervisors and site personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department.
