We are looking for a motivated Accounts Intern to join our Finance team. You will gain hands-on exposure to financial operations in a dynamic construction environment, supporting day-to-day accounting functions and learning how finance integrates with project cost management.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in processing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions
- Support month-end closing activities including journal entries and reconciliations
- Help maintain and update project cost tracking schedules
- Perform data entry and filing of financial documents in compliance with company and statutory requirements
- Support preparation of management reports, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
- Liaise with project teams and subcontractors on payment-related queries
- Assist in internal and external audit preparation as required
- Undertake any other ad-hoc finance duties assigned by the Finance Manager
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business or a related field from a recognised institution
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero) is an advantage
- Meticulous, organised and able to handle numerical data accurately
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to commit for a minimum of 6 months
