Our design team focuses on delivering the best experience possible for shoppers, agents and all our internal and external partners across all of our products and markets. We’re currently invested in ensuring a fast and easy way to shop for insurance, as well as optimizing our agent‑facing experience to help carriers work smart and fast to provide the best deals.
We’re looking for a UX Designer who can join our small and energetic Site Experiences team, who take care of the consumer marketplace. In this role you’ll learn and grow through mentoring and support, as well as have the room to use your curiosity and self‑starting nature to crack on.
What you’ll do
- Work on initiatives across our consumer‑facing experiences, our insurance marketplace – delivering simple, engaging and performant solutions that help connect consumers with insurance providers
- Understand and advocate the needs of both our EverQuote business and our shoppers, ensuring we’re delivering evidence‑backed design solutions and decisions that balance business, user and technology considerations
- Be a master of user research. From exploratory interviews to usability testing you evangelize continuous discovery, helping the team make informed design decisions from both qualitative and quantitative insights
- Ideate through sketching, mock‑ups, storyboards & prototypes – delivering high‑fidelity designs for our e‑commerce user journeys
- Co‑create with Product, Engineering & Data Insights teams across all stages of the product development lifecycle
- Support the evolution of our design system to ensure we continue to grow in an efficient, scalable and consistent way
- Believe in a culture of feedback and actively seek out feedback on your work and approaches
- Be an active figure in our design community, collaborating in our design routines, contributing to our culture of continuous learning and improvement
Essential Qualifications
- 3+ years experience designing digital user experiences
- Education in Graphic Design, Experience Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, Business or related disciplines
- Experience designing across the product development lifecycle, from concept through launch and optimizing beyond
- Competency conducting and synthesizing user research
- Understand and carefully consider the landscape on which you design, including information architecture, systems design and design systems
- Experience in working with, contributing to, and governing design systems
- Expert proficiency in core design and prototyping tools such as Figma
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing e‑commerce user experiences, with demonstrable focus on visual and interaction design
- Experience with experimentation design, as part of CRO programmes
- Experience with user behaviour analytics, and tools such as Google Analytics, Amplitude, Hotjar etc.
- Experience working in an agile product development team
