We’re looking for a Software Engineer who can join our small and energetic team. In this role you’ll learn and grow as an engineer through mentoring and support, as well as have the room to drive your own career journey.
What you’ll do
- Work as part of an agile development team using a Kanban methodology
- Build software that grows EverQuote’s integrations platform
- Take ownership of a section of the platform and have the freedom to drive it forwards
- Collaborate with architecture, security and platform teams on new solutions
- Mentor graduate engineers to support their career journeys
- Support business requests for insight into system performance
- Work with partner teams from the largest insurance providers in the US on solutions
Who you are
You Must
- Have a minimum 2 years' postgraduate commercial experience in software development
- Have professional experience using one object oriented programming language
- Have experience of agile software development methodologies
- Have experience with CI/CD pipelines, observability, testing, and security best practices
You Should
- Have professional experience of one of the following languages: Java, Go, Ruby, TypeScript
- Have experience managing infrastructure as code (IaC) preferably on AWS
- Have experience managing code with GitHub and building/deploying with GitHub actions
- Have experience using unit testing frameworks
