Salary: £40,000–£43,000 (rising by £1,000 at 6 & 12 months, performance dependent)

Role: PIP or WCA Assessments

Professionals: Nurses | OTs | Physios | Paramedics | Pharmacists

Hours: Full Time – Hybrid. Part Time: 3 or 4 days available – Hybrid.

You’ll use your clinical knowledge and professional judgement to assess how health conditions and disabilities affect individuals, producing clear and objective reports that support benefit decisions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct structured PIP or WCA assessments via telephone and face-to-face appointments.
  • Assess how physical, cognitive and mental health conditions affect daily living, mobility and functional ability.
  • Review medical evidence and gather detailed clinical histories.
  • Apply your clinical judgement to assess functional impact objectively.
  • Produce accurate, evidence-based reports for the DWP.
  • Work alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team.
  • Use modern IT systems to document findings accurately and efficiently.

Paid Training:

  • 12 weeks of fully paid, structured training covering assessment skills, DWP guidelines and report writing.
  • Ongoing support and development once you qualify.
  • Please note: Annual leave cannot be taken during the first 6 weeks of training.

Who Can Apply?

  • Registration as a Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Pharmacist.
  • At least 1 year of post-registration experience in an adult setting.
  • Active NMC or HCPC registration, where applicable.
  • Full right to work in the UK – no visa sponsorship available.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of long-term conditions.
  • Excellent written communication and report-writing skills.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using multiple systems while conducting assessments.
