Are you an experienced HCPC Registered Psychologist looking for an opportunity to influence practice at both strategic and clinical levels? We are seeking a Principal Psychologist to join the Senior Management Team of a specialist Therapeutic Community service. This is a high-profile leadership role with responsibility for psychological governance, quality assurance, research and clinical excellence across multiple Therapeutic Communities. Alongside strategic oversight, you will clinically lead two Assessment Therapeutic Communities, supporting individuals with complex and high-risk needs while driving trauma-informed, evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide senior clinical leadership across multiple Therapeutic Communities
- Lead psychological governance, quality assurance and research activity
- Oversee assessment, formulation and parole-related psychological input
- Drive continuous improvement and accreditation standards
- Lead and develop psychological services in line with HCPC and BPS standards
- Represent the service at regional and national forums
About You:
- HCPC Registered Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist
- Significant experience within forensic, secure or complex mental health services
- Proven leadership and service development experience
- Strong knowledge of governance, risk management and psychological assessment
- Passion for innovation, quality and rehabilitation
