Fabulous opportunity for a commercially driven Digital Marketing Manager to join a fast-paced and growing retail & e-commerce business based in Cardiff (office based). Reporting to the Head of E-Commerce, you will take full ownership of performance marketing strategy, driving scalable and profitable growth across all digital acquisition channels. This is a key role within the business, combining strategic planning with hands-on execution, data analysis, and team leadership to maximise ROI and customer acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver the overall performance marketing strategy across SEO, PPC, Paid Social, Affiliates, Display, Retargeting, and App campaigns.
- Build and manage robust forecasts against key KPIs, tracking performance and reporting weekly.
- Manage a multi-million-pound digital marketing budget, ensuring strong ROI and efficiency.
- Lead and optimise campaigns across platforms including Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, and Apple Search Ads.
- Manage and collaborate with multiple digital agencies, ensuring delivery against KPIs and deadlines.
- Develop and execute a structured testing roadmap, including A/B testing and CRO initiatives.
- Work closely with SEO partners to monitor rankings and drive ongoing optimisation strategies.
- Own email and SMS marketing performance, including segmentation, automation, and personalisation.
- Partner with the loyalty team to develop customer journeys (welcome, reactivation, post-purchase).
- Align digital activity with wider marketing, trading, and product plans, identifying opportunities for growth.
- Support brand campaigns across the full marketing funnel.
- Lead and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Contribute to wider e-commerce strategy and support overall online trading performance.
About You
- Proven experience in a Digital/Performance Marketing role, ideally within retail or e-commerce.
- Strong understanding of digital channels including SEO, PPC, Paid Social, Affiliates, and Display.
- Experience managing significant budgets (7-figure+) and delivering measurable ROI.
- Confident in agency management and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using tools such as Google Analytics.
- Knowledge of attribution models, CRO, and A/B testing.
- Experience with email/CRM platforms (e.g. Klaviyo, Mailchimp).
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress) and basic HTML knowledge.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Desirable: Experience within fashion or retail; Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM systems; Experience with app platforms (Apple App Store / Google Play); Understanding of GDPR and website security best practices.
