We’re recruiting WCA Disability Assessors in Poole, giving you the opportunity to step away from the pressures of front line care while continuing to make a meaningful difference.
You’ll use your clinical knowledge, assessment skills and professional judgement to assess how an individual's health condition or disability affects their functional ability and capacity for work.

£42,000 starting salary plus a £1,000 salary increase after 12 months, 5% training completion bonus and quality & performance bonus opportunities.

Use your clinical skills differently
No treatment or hands‑on care. Instead, you’ll use your clinical reasoning, communication skills and professional judgement to complete objective, evidence‑based assessments.
Full paid training
No previous Disability Assessor experience is required. You’ll receive a comprehensive 12‑week training programme, followed by ongoing clinical support and development.
What will you be doing?
- Conduct Work Capability Assessments (WCA) via telephone and face-to-face appointments.
- Assess how health conditions and disabilities affect an individual's ability to carry out daily and work-related activities.
- Review medical evidence and information provided by claimants.
- Use your clinical reasoning and professional judgement to make fair, objective assessments.
- Produce clear, accurate and detailed reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
- Ensure every assessment is completed to a high clinical and professional standard.
