We are looking for an experienced Store Manager for a National Schoolwear retailer in Oxford to lead the day-to-day operations in a busy store. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth branch operations, delivering exceptional customer service, managing team performance, and achieving operational and financial targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage stock control and inventory levels.
- Maintain excellent shop floor and stockroom standards.
- Lead and support branch supervisors.
- Manage branch financial responsibilities, including staffing budgets, petty cash, and contractor costs.
- Ensure customer orders are processed efficiently and accurately.
- Complete daily banking procedures.
- Prepare and submit end-of-month reports and spreadsheets.
- Ensure branch dispatch targets are consistently achieved.
- Recruit, train, develop, and retain team members.
- Deliver and record ongoing training and development.
- Identify performance issues and implement improvement plans where required.
- Work closely with supervisors to achieve and maintain branch standards.
