We’re recruiting PIP Disability Assessors in Newport(Isle of Wight), offering you the opportunity to take your clinical career in a new direction while continuing to use the skills and experience you’ve built throughout your healthcare career.
This is a structured role where you’ll use your clinical reasoning, assessment skills and professional judgement to understand how health conditions and disabilities affect an individual's daily life.

- Full paid training
- No previous PIP or Disability Assessor experience is required. You’ll receive a comprehensive 12-week paid training programme, followed by ongoing support and development.
What will you be doing?
- Conduct PIP (Personal Independence Payment) assessments via telephone and face‑to‑face appointments.
- Explore how an individual's health conditions or disabilities affect their daily living and mobility.
- Review medical evidence and information provided by claimants.
- Use clinical reasoning and professional judgement to assess functional ability.
- Produce clear, accurate and evidence‑based reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
- Manage your own caseload while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

You’ll need at least 1 year of post-registration clinical experience, current NMC or HCPC registration, strong communication skills and the ability to produce clear, detailed reports.
No previous PIP or Disability Assessor experience? No problem — full training is provided.
