About the Role

Looking for a better work-life balance without leaving healthcare? If you're tired of relentless shift patterns, unpredictable hours, and physical burnout, this is your chance to turn your clinical expertise into a rewarding, structured office- and home-based role.

As a Functional Assessor, you won't be delivering hands‑on care. Instead, you'll conduct consultations (face‑to‑face, video, or phone) to understand how long‑term health conditions or disabilities affect people's day‑to‑day lives. You'll use your medical knowledge to write clear, objective reports that help individuals get the support they need.

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • True Work-Life Balance: — Fixed weekday hours (9–5) so you can plan your life, spend time with family, and enjoy your weekends again

  • Hybrid Flexibility: — Work 50/50 from home and site once your training is complete

  • Guaranteed Salary Increase: — A clear, transparent uplift at 12 months

  • Fully Paid Training: — 12 weeks of comprehensive, paid training to set you up for success

Your Salary & Progression WCA Pathway

  • Start: £48,000

  • F2F Approval: £50,000: £2000 uplift for approval

  • At 12 months: £51,000 — £1,000 twelve-month uplift

Extra Perks & Financial Boosts

  • Approval bonus: — a 5% one-off bonus as soon as you're approved

  • Annual performance bonus: — up to 10% extra per year, paid out at 2.5% every quarter

  • Voluntary upskilling: — boost your base salary further by training in Auditing (+£500) or File Handling (+£500)

  • Overtime: — paid at 1.5x time-and-a-half once approved

  • Great benefits: — 25 days holiday + bank holidays (option to buy more), 6% pension, ShareSave scheme, a paid volunteering day, and full wellbeing support

What You'll Need to Apply

  • Professional registration: — active registration with the NMC, HCPC, or GPhC as a Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist

  • Clinical experience: — at least 1 year post-qualification experience with adult patients (ages 16–65)

  • Key skills: — good IT skills, strong report writing, and a compassionate, listening ear

  • Right to work: — full UK right to work required (sponsorship is not available)
