As a - Nurse
- Assessor , you\'ll use your clinical knowledge to carry out
Work Capability Assessment (WCA) assessments on behalf of the DWP.
This role offers the opportunity to step away from traditional frontline practice while continuing to make a meaningful difference through high-quality, evidence-based assessments.
Following
6–12 weeks of fully home-based training , you\'ll move into a hybrid working pattern, splitting your time
50/50 between home and the office .
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out assessments via face-to-face, telephone, and video consultations
- Evaluate how physical, mental health, intellectual, or sensory conditions affect a claimant's daily living or ability to work
- Review medical evidence and apply clinical reasoning to gather accurate, balanced information
- Communicate effectively with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and adapt your approach to meet their needs
- Produce clear, detailed, and evidence-based reports to support DWP decision-making
- Achieve daily report targets (WCA: 5 reports per day)
- Maintain professionalism, objectivity, and impartiality throughout every assessment
- What We\'re Looking For
- Current unrestricted NMC or HCPC registration
- At least 12 months\' post-registration clinical experience
- Excellent communication, organisation, and IT skills
