In addition to your salary, you'll receive
- £2,000 bonus upon successful completion of probation
- 5% one-off bonus following successful completion of training

This is a specialist Work Capability Assessment (WCA) role where you'll use your assessment, communication and clinical reasoning skills to understand how an individual's health condition affects their ability to work and carry out everyday activities.
You'll remain clinical without providing treatment, prescribing medication or undertaking manual handling.

The Role As a Work Capability Assessor, you'll complete structured functional assessments through:
- Telephone assessments
- Video assessments
- Face-to-face assessments
You’ll use your professional judgement to
- Gather detailed clinical histories
- Assess physical, mental health and cognitive conditions
- Review medical evidence including GP letters, consultant reports and diagnostic information
- Evaluate how conditions affect functional ability and work capability
- Apply evidence-based clinical reasoning within the WCA framework
- Produce accurate, well-structured clinical reports
This is an assessment and report-writing role.
No treatment. No prescribing. No manual handling.
Who Can Apply? We are only considering applications from the following UK-registered adult clinicians:
- Adult Registered Nurse (RGN)
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
- Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD)
- Physiotherapist
- Occupational Therapist
Applications outside of these professions will not be considered.
Essential Criteria Applicants must
- Hold an active UK NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
- Have a minimum of 12 months' post-registration UK clinical experience
- Have recent hands-on experience working within adult healthcare
- Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and history-taking skills
- Be confident making evidence-based clinical decisions
- Have experience managing clinical caseloads and maintaining accurate documentation
- Be comfortable reviewing and interpreting medical evidence Have excellent written communication and report writing skills
- Be confident using IT systems and producing reports during assessments
