Disability Assessor - WCA - Nurse, Physio, OT

Hours: Monday - Friday (9am - 5pm)
Location: Hastings
Role Summary
The Disability Assessor conducts Work Capability Assessments (WCA) with individuals with long-term health conditions or disabilities. The role requires producing comprehensive, evidence-based reports for the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). The assessor is not responsible for benefit entitlement decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments with claimants,
- Perform thorough evaluations to determine how a claimant's disability or health condition affects their work capabilities.
- Assess individuals with a range of physical, mental health, cognitive, and sensory impairments.
- Produce impartial, accurate, and high-quality written reports using a designated IT system.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and assessment criteria.
- Adhere to all professional standards, including Safeguarding, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Data Protection, and Risk Management.
Essential Criteria
- Registered healthcare professional (NMC/HCPC registration required).
- Minimum of one years' relevant post-registration clinical experience.
- Strong written and verbal clinical communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a clinical caseload efficiently.Experience working with complex health conditions
