Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (Depending on location) rising by £1,000 at 6/12 months – Performance based

Full Time – Hybrid (Mon–Fri). Part time available.

Become a Functional Assessor, supporting individuals applying for benefits doing either Work Capability Assessments (WCA) or Personal Independent Payment (PIP) on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

Your Role

  • Assess claimants' health and daily living via phone and face‑to‑face appointments for capability to work and work related activities or daily living and mobility.
  • Review medical evidence and compile detailed reports for the DWP.
  • Use clinical expertise in a role that values quality, not speed.

Essential Criteria

  • Registered Nurse, OT, Physio, Pharmacist or Paramedic.
  • Minimum 1‑year post‑registration experience in an adult setting.
  • NMC/HCPC registered.
  • Strong written and verbal clinical communication skills.
  • Confident communicator & report writer – IT literate.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a clinical caseload efficiently.
  • Experience working with complex health conditions.
