Role: Functional Assessor (PIP / WCA)

Suitable for:

  • Registered Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD)
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Paramedics
  • Physiotherapists
  • Pharmacists

Shifts: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm

Location: Hybrid (home & office)

Contract: Full-time

Salary & Benefits:

  • £37,500 - £42,000 starting salary (role-dependent)
  • £1,000 pay rises at 6 and 12 months
  • Up to 10% bonus based on quality & performance
  • No nights, no weekends, no bank holidays

What You’ll Do:

  • Assess claimants' health conditions via telephone or face-to-face
  • Review medical evidence & daily living information
  • Complete clear, detailed reports for the DWP
  • Conduct 3 PIP assessments or 5 - 6 WCA assessments per day (depending on pathway)

Training Provided: All successful applicants receive a 12-week fully paid training programme, including:

  • Assessment & interview techniques
  • DWP policy & clinical guidelines
  • Expert report-writing training
  • Ongoing mentorship & clinical support

No prior assessor experience needed.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • 1 year post-registration experience in adult practice
  • Active NMC or HCPC registration
  • Confident communicators & strong report writers
  • Comfortable using IT and clinical systems
