Full-Time Hybrid working Multiple UK Locations
About the Role
We’re looking for a minimum of 2 full-time, hybrid Health and Disability Assessors to join the Medacs Team. This is a clinically-focused role combining assessment work with structured training and ongoing development. You’ll work a hybrid pattern — 3 days on-site and 2 days from home (no exceptions) — 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Pay and Progression
- Starting salary: £39,500
- 12-month review: +£1,000, based on quality, attendance and performance
- Training approval bonus: an additional £1,000 if you successfully pass your training approval within the first 6 months
- Performance bonus: up to 15% annually, broken down and assessed quarterly against quality, targets and performance
Training and Development
- 2-day induction in Leeds (expenses covered by the company)
- Followed by time at your base location with your manager
- 6 weeks of virtual training
- Up to 2 weeks on-site with a dedicated mentor
Please note: annual leave cannot be taken in the first 8 weeks of employment. Leave requested between weeks 8–12 is considered at the manager’s discretion on a case‑by‑case basis. Please plan around the training period when considering start dates.
Our Hiring Process
- Initial pre-screen
- Clinical scenario assessment — a 30-minute Teams call, scenario-based, with typed responses; screen sharing is required
- Typing test — 5 minutes, 35wpm pass rate (some flexibility)
- Interview — face‑to‑face preferred; Teams interviews considered in exceptional cases, subject to office presence
Interview scheduling depends on both candidate and team availability.
Compliance Requirements
Enhanced DBS and compliance checks are required before your start date. This has a 6-week lead time. Candidates with governing body sanctions or previous convictions will require additional approval through the DWP process. If any of the following apply to you, please disclose this at pre-screen stage so we can arrange the appropriate checks:
- Currently working out a contract notice period
- Dismissal within the last 3 years
- Referral to a governing body
- Employment gaps of over 3 months in the last 2 years

- Comfort with scenario-based clinical assessment and typed, screen-shared responses
- Minimum typing speed of 35wpm
- Willingness to complete enhanced DBS and compliance checks
- Ability to commit to the full training pathway, including the Leeds induction and virtual/on-site training weeks
