Functional Assessor (PIP / WCA) – Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Paramedics and Pharmacists.
£40,000 - £42,000 + bonus scheme and benefits.
Location: Cambridge. Hybrid remote roles available across the south of England.
Salary and Benefits
- Competitive Salary: £40,000 starting salary for PIP with £1,000 increases after 6 and 12 months and £42,000 starting salary for WCA with a £1,000 increase after 12 months.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm. Part‑time hours available (after full‑time training) for the PIP role only.
Role Overview
- Conduct Assessments: Evaluate claimants health and/or work capabilities via phone and face‑to‑face assessments.
- Review Evidence: Analyse medical evidence, health questionnaires, and daily living activities.
- Compile Reports: Produce detailed reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
Training Program
Successful candidates will complete a 12‑week comprehensive training programme covering (amongst other things):
- Assessment Techniques: Best practices for accurate evaluations.
- DWP Guidelines: Requirements and guidelines of the Department for Work and Pensions.
- Report Writing: Skills for detailed and objective reporting.

Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 1‑year post‑registration recent experience in a relevant adult setting.
- Registration: Must have at least 1 year of active registration.
- Skills: Strong communication, effective assessment skills, proficiency at typing/report‑writing, and excellent IT skills are essential.
