Functional Assessor (WCA)
Location: Frimley
Salary: £40,000‑£42,000 (rising by £1,000 at 6 & 12 months)
Post: Nurses, OTs, Physios
Employment: Full Time Only & Hybrid
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9-5
Become a Functional Assessor, supporting individuals applying for Work Capability Assessments (WCA) or PIP on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
Your Role
- Assess claimants functional ability/work related activities and daily activities via phone and face‑to‑face appointments.
- Review medical evidence and compile detailed reports for the DWP.
- Use your clinical expertise in a role that values quality, not speed.
Essential Criteria
- Registered Nurse, OT, Paramedic, Physio.
- Minimum 1-year post-registration experience in an adult setting.
- NMC/HCPC registered.
- Strong written and verbal clinical communication skills.
- Confident communicator and report writer – IT literate.
- Ability to work independently and manage a clinical caseload efficiently.
- Experience working with complex health conditions.
