Disability Assessor (WCA) for Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Paramedics and Pharmacists. Hybrid remote roles available across England. Full‑time positions.

Salary and Benefits

Salary ranges and benefits are provided below.

  • PIP – £40,000 starting salary with £1,000 increments at 6 and 12 months (performance dependent) and an excellent bonus scheme.
  • WCA – £42,000 starting salary with £1,000 increase at 12 months (performance dependent) and an excellent bonus scheme.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct phone and face‑to‑face assessments to evaluate claimants’ health and work capability.
  • Review medical evidence, health questionnaires, and daily living activity data.
  • Produce detailed reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

Example Tasks

  • Interview claimants to understand health conditions and daily challenges.
  • Review medical records and draft comprehensive reports.
  • Provide recommendations based on thorough assessments.

Training Programme

Successful candidates complete a 12‑week comprehensive training programme covering:

  • Assessment Techniques – best practices for accurate evaluations.
  • DWP Guidelines – department requirements and guidelines.
  • Report Writing – skills for detailed, objective reporting.

Requirements

  • Experience – Minimum of one year of post‑registration relevant adult setting experience.
  • Registration – At least one year of active registration with NMC or HCPC.
  • Skills – Strong communication, effective assessment skills, proficient typing/report‑writing, and excellent IT skills.
